Raiffeisen Bank (Croatia)


Raiffeisen bank Austria d.d. Zagreb (RBA) was founded in 1995 and was the first bank in Croatia that was founded by a foreign financial institution. The branch and outlet network developed strongly in a bid to enhance the access of clients, particularly small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. RBA now has over 70 branches in 37 towns throughout Croatia and is the fourth largest bank in Croatia. It has won numerous local and international awards for customer orientation and its high service quality, including the best Croatian bank in 2006 and 2008 as awarded by The Banker magazine.

Raiffeisen International's consolidated profit rose by 17 per cent to EUR 982 million in 2008, with a balance sheet total of EUR 85.4 billion at year-end. The group has over 63,000 employees, servicing more than 14.7 million customers in over 3,200 business outlets.

RBA installed the Siebel Branch Teller system throughout their branch network in 2006. In mid 2010, Xeon was engaged to assist the bank to upgrade the application to EJB 2.1 on Websphere 7.0. Xeon also provides general support to RBA as the bank designs and rolls out functional enhancements to their branch network so as to better serve the evolving needs of their customers.

AFCU (Utah, USA)


AFCU

America First Credit Union is a member-owned, cooperative financial institution originally set up in 1939. It provides checking, savings, loans, credit cards, investment and corporate products. With over 500,000 members and assets in excess of US$4.87 billion, AFCU is the largest credit union by assets in the United States and its 6th largest credit union by membership. It offers services across a 100 branch network.

Xeon was the principal implementer and systems integrator for the Siebel Branch Teller branch rejuvenation project. Xeon is currently providing on site and off site support for AFCU as they add enhancements to their sytem. The following functionality was built by Xeon for AFCU:

  • 27 financial transactions
  • Check 21 capability - cheque image storage and processing
  • Remote viewing of cheque images during supervisor authorisation
  • Integration of the Teller system to cash dispensers / recyclers and coin dispensers
  • Integration of the Teller system to the Ingenico card swipe, PIN entry, signature capture and electronic receipt preview device
  • Integration of the Teller system to the digital video recording security camera system
  • Back office reconciliation reports

Welcome Financial Services (UK)


AFCU

Welcome Financial Services is a part of the Cattles group which was set up in Hull in 1927. Cattles specialises in providing non-standard financial services to customers who do not have access to mainstream credit facilities. This is often due to perceived shortcomings in the customers' employment, residency or credit histories. By providing an opportunity to build or repair their credit histories, Cattles offers many customers a route back into mainstream lending.

Cattles' largest business unit is Welcome Financial Services, for whom Xeon both enhances and supports their Siebel Branch Teller system. Welcome has more than 500,000 customers and facilitates direct loan repayment via its UK wide network of over 180 branches. 220,000 financial transactions are processed each month by the 2,000 users of the Teller system.

Xeon enhances and supports the following functionality which has been added to the Siebel Branch Teller system:

  • Loan payments by cash, cheque, postal order, transfer and bank cards
  • Loan account payment maintenance (settlements, non ageing payments, write offs etc.)
  • Consumer Credit Act compliant payments for default sums
  • Reoccurring card payments
  • Back office account maintenance (branch suspense accounts and reconciliation)
  • Teller cash drawer maintenance
  • Integration with Siebel CRM

Xeon currently supports the bank to handle over 500,000 financial transactions per day servicing 22 million accounts.
