Solution Consultant

Are you an experienced solution consultant with the energy and desire to deliver financial solutions worldwide? Are you tired of the same locations? Do you want a contract that will see you working on projects around the world? Do you want a role that will give you responsibility for your own deliverables?


This role requires the provision of expert services and consultation to clients in the capture of requirements and the transition of those requirements into front office banking solutions. You will work on many different parts of the Software Development Life Cycle. This will include:

  • Support for the current application
  • Consultation to clarify our clients’ understanding of their requirements and to then turn those requirements into a working solution
  • Analysis of best business approaches to take and the creation of specification documents
  • Design of solution, applying industry best practices to formulate the best technical solution
  • Development to turn your design into working code
  • Unit testing of your code
  • Managing the roll out of banking solutions, making sure that clients get what they want, when they need it

Applicants must have experience working in the banking industry in the provision of software services. Experience in the implementation of Siebel Teller is a distinct advantage.

Applicants will be familiar with Use Case driven analysis, both the understanding of their use and the creation of the artefacts themselves. Applicants should have experience in transposing use cases and other business specifications into implementable designs and ultimately code. Applicants should have demonstrable experience and understanding of design principles and industry best practices. Full Software Development Life Cycle experience is a prerequisite, as knowledge of testing and release cycles is key.Candidates should be able to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and experience in the skills listed above and any experience in integrating applications to peripheral devices would also be a distinct advantage.


Candidates must be willing to travel worldwide. It is likely that most of the candidate’s time will be spent in one city, however travel to other cities may be required. Some work may be achievable from the candidate’s home base, depending on the nature of the work and the stage of the project to which they are assigned.


Successful candidates will be offered contracts for approximately 20 months (typical projects take 18 months or more, although some contract posts may not be required for the entire project).


Successful candidates will be paid a daily rate plus expenses for time on site / abroad. The daily rate will be dependent on experience and market rates, but will be competitive.
